Thanks to a stout defense, the Baltimore Ravens are 4-0 for the first time in franchise history. Do the Denver Broncos have what it takes to change that? Sportsbook.com has the line at Denver –5.5, find out why in our Monday Night Article.
· Ravens at Broncos
Baltimores defense has established itself once again. The Ravens rank 4th vs. opposing passers, and currently leads the NFL allowing just 63.3 rushing yards per game. So where do the Broncos go. Run, Run, Run of course, what else would Denver do? With Jake Plummer having a tough go at it this season and the Broncos known for their running game, look for the Broncos to try to establish the run early. Tatum Bell will try to do what other backs have not been able to do so far this season, run the ball on the Ravens. Home field advantage and an additional week of being the featured back will boost the running game for the Broncos. Plummer has proven in the past he can be a decent QB and now he has a complimentary WR in Javon Walker to go with Rod Smith. We just hope he can get the ball out of his hand before the Ravens defense makes it to the backfield given they lead the league with 17 QB sacks, and have 8 interceptions and 4 fumble recoveries to date. When Baltimore is on offense look for them to be pretty pedestrian with a very balanced offense. Jamal Lewis will find things tough as the Broncos have been above average against run defense so far this year. Steve McNair will have to figure another way to win a game, something he is used to by now. Everybody is loading up on the Broncos and that has driven the line up to –5.5 Broncos from an opening line of –4. We like the Broncos but not by 5.5, even at home. The Ravens defense is just that tough.
